Bridges Produce understands that food safety is one of the most critical issues in the produce industry.

Bridges is committed to providing safe and nutritious produce, and works closely with our grower partners to ensure that applicable food safety laws, as well as the constantly evolving industry standards, are being followed. We maintain current third-party food safety certifications for both the farms and the packing houses for all produce we supply, and provide this documentation to customers upon request.

Our grower partners are certified by numerous third parties, including:

PrimusGFS  /  GlobalGAP  /  USDA  /  CanadaGAP  /  SQF Institute  /  BRC Global Standards

Our Commitment to Food Safety

Traceability

Bridges and their grower partners have traceability practices and policies in place for all produce sold. This includes internal and external tracking systems and unitization of Global Trade Identification Numbers (GTIN). Bridges performs mock recalls periodically to test our traceability systems.

Organic Certification

We are proud to be an Oregon Tilth certified Organic Handler. By maintaining this certification, we provide our customers confidence regarding the organic integrity of the produce we supply while allowing them to retain only one certificate. Certified organic produce is always non-GMO.

Supplier Approval & Supply Chain Transparency

Supply chain compliance and transparency has always been a priority for Bridges Produce when it comes to food safety, organic integrity, and product sourcing. Bridges is constantly making improvements to our expanded Food Safety Defense Plan, Supplier Approval/Renewal Program and comprehensive supplier profiles. We want to continue to be leaders in this area and by instituting even more rigorous protocols we are able to improve on our already extensive requirements to provide our customers the peace of mind, detailed answers and documentation that is vital in the current market.
